First EU FSD Supervised safety data released
Tesla released its first EU FSD (Supervised) safety data, covering the Netherlands, Lithuania, Estonia, Denmark, and Belgium from April 10 to July 26, 2026, reporting 5.2 times fewer collisions and 41.9 million highway kilometers with zero collisions.

New Traction Control Modes arrive in the 2026 Summer Update
The 2026.26 Summer Update adds three Traction Control Modes: Auto, Slippery Surface, and Stuck Assist, giving drivers more specific options for wet, icy, snowy, muddy, or sandy conditions. So far, the feature has appeared on the refreshed Model 3.

Cybercab needs its own FSD validation miles, Musk says
Elon Musk said during Tesla's Q2 2026 earnings call that Cybercab cannot scale yet because FSD must be validated on the new chassis, with test vehicles using temporary steering wheels and pedals to collect calibration miles.

Elon Musk said during Tesla's Q2 2026 call that FSD should work on the Semi by late 2026 or early 2027, with Tesla using 10 exterior cameras and fleet data while prioritizing Model 3, Model Y, and Cybercab.
