Tesla app version 4.58.5 now shows a blue Self-Driving label under battery and speed when FSD is active, requiring vehicle software 2026.20.6.1, with Jordan Camina’s demo coming from an HW3 Model S. This status indicator works on a wide range of hardware, including HW3 and HW4 vehicles.
Tesla app code points to cabin-camera checks before FSD use
A decompilation of Tesla app version 4.58.5 found FSD identity-check strings and failed-check dialogs, suggesting Tesla may use the cabin camera to verify the driver before FSD activation if the feature ships.
