Issue 414 - Actually Smart Summon tested on Cybertruck
FSD
FSD will remember drivers’ parking preferences
Elon Musk said upcoming FSD releases will learn preferred parking locations at places like home, work, and school drop-off, after intervention data showed destination parking is the biggest reason drivers take over.
Confetti and FSD streak celebrations added in the latest update 📷
The new FSD v14.3.4 update introduces celebratory animations when drivers hit intervention-free Full Self-Driving streaks at milestones like 250, 500, 1,000, and 5,000 miles. This is part of a growing trend toward gamifying the FSD experience, which now includes a stats panel and streak widget, and could soon expand to trophy-style achievements on mobile.
Robotaxi
Sawyer Merritt says recent Robotaxi incidents were rear-end collisions
Sawyer Merritt pointed to a post summarizing recent NHTSA data, noting that reported Robotaxi incidents in recent months involved other drivers rear-ending stationary vehicles, with no cited at-fault Robotaxi crashes since February.
Robotaxi cameras can verify first responders for emergency access
The Robotaxi First Responder Interaction Plan explains how uniformed emergency personnel can show ID to a vehicle’s B-pillar camera so support can verify them and grant limited control to move a Robotaxi from a dangerous spot.
Cybercab
Cybercab EPA filing reveals weight, power, and range test data
Cybercab has received EPA certification for the 2026 model year, revealing a 3,113-pound curb weight, a front-wheel-drive layout, 163 kW motor output, and 418.2 miles of lab-tested certification range.
Over 100 Cybercabs spotted staging at Giga Texas 📷
Drone footage shows over 100 Cybercabs staged at Giga Texas, with another 50+ units spotted near Dallas, suggesting preparation for a large-scale rollout rather than slow pilot testing. Both steering wheel-less and wheel-equipped versions are being produced, likely to navigate current regulatory hurdles as broader hardware and software upgrades are still pending.
Cybertruck
Actually Smart Summon tested on Cybertruck
Chuck Cook posted a full-length video testing FSD v14.3.4 Actually Smart Summon on a Cybertruck.
Cybertruck off-road light bar finally goes on sale separately
The high-performance Off-Road Light Bar for the Cybertruck is now being sold as a stand-alone accessory in North America, opening it up to all trims rather than just the Foundation Series. The $1,950 LED light bar integrates with the truck’s touchscreen controls and mounts securely to the roof with a new bolted bracket system, correcting previous adhesive failures. Owners should note that part of the installation must be completed by the customer or a third party, as Tesla staff are not permitted to finish the full connection.
Long-awaited Summon feature confirmed for Cybertruck
Summon, part of the Full Self-Driving suite, is finally confirmed to be coming to the Cybertruck via a software update shortly, after more than two years of waiting. The delay was caused by unique technical challenges including the steer-by-wire system and the vehicle’s size, which complicated integration and required additional validation for safety.
Charging
Pre-assembled charging strategy expands to Semi Megachargers
The pre-assembled, modular construction approach previously used for Supercharger stations is now being applied to the Megacharger network dedicated to Semi trucks. New plans for a Florida site show that these pre-built Megacharger units, which integrate charging cabinets, posts, and concrete foundations, will simplify and speed up installation while potentially lowering costs.
🤓 What the acronym
As a Tesla fan, I find myself sometimes having to remember what are all those acronyms, here is a list of the ones you can find in this issue.
EPA: Environmental Protection Agency
FSD: Full Self-Driving
NHTSA: National Highway Traffic Safety Administration

There are currently a total of 20 Tesla taxis operating autonomously in the United States. Any coverage of Tesla taxis being spotted in parking lots in Texas, or of accidents involving these vehicles, needs to include that after years of Musk celebrating what a success these vehicles are, he has only been able to get 20 of them up and running. Try to avoid putting lipstick on a pig.
