New $59K AWD Cybertruck appears as Cybercab production ramps at Giga Texas 📷
Fresh drone footage suggests production of the highly anticipated $59,990 Dual Motor AWD Cybertruck has started at Giga Texas, with dozens of these trucks now staged outside the factory.
Semi transports first batch of Cybercabs as robotaxi rollout expands 📹
Semi trucks have begun delivering the first wave of production Cybercabs from Giga Texas, underlining the ramp-up of the autonomous two-seater robotaxi program. Footage confirms multiple Cybercabs being shipped following the recent staging of about 60 units at the factory, with a goal of 2 million annual production and a price below $30,000 each.
FSD
FSD v14.3 appears to slow for slippery roads and hydroplaning risk 📹
The latest FSD v14.3 update reportedly recognizes slippery road conditions, such as those with high hydroplaning risk, and automatically lowers the car’s speed for safety. Tester Sawyer Merritt observed the system restricting drive modes and capping speed at 70, signaling a stronger approach to weather-aware safety during supervised FSD operation.
FSD sets Cannonball Run record without intervention 📹
A team using FSD v14.3.2 just completed the classic Cannonball Run from NYC to California in under 50 hours without a single driver intervention, shaving eight hours off the previous record and showcasing rapid progress in autonomous driving capabilities. Unlike prior runs, the latest drive also included fully autonomous parking at all charging stops, highlighting practical improvements beyond highway cruising. Full telemetry and video are expected soon.
Model S & X
Final Model S and Model X built at Fremont factory 📷
The last Model S and Model X have now been produced at the Fremont Factory, officially ending production of the two pioneering vehicles. The Model S and X were instrumental in establishing Tesla’s reputation for innovation and performance, but their discontinuation frees up factory space for new projects like the Optimus robot. 🫡
Safety
Tesla Vision enables faster airbag deployment for improved safety
Tesla announced that its Vision system can deploy airbags up to 70 milliseconds sooner if an unavoidable collision is detected, potentially reducing the severity of injuries in a crash.
Model Y becomes the first to pass NHTSA’s new advanced driver assistance tests
The 2026 Model Y is the first vehicle to pass the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s new advanced driver assistance system tests, now included in the agency's New Car Assessment Program. The Model Y met all criteria for the four new ADAS evaluations, pedestrian automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assistance, blind spot warning, and blind spot intervention, in addition to the original ADAS standards.
Design & Features
A high-res look at the new Pet Mode avatars 📹
Spring Update 2026 refreshes the animal-friendly climate feature with a rebrand from "Dog Mode" to "Pet Mode," now including high-resolution avatars for dogs, cats, or even a punk hedgehog. Owners can personalize the on-screen message with their pet's actual name when leaving them in the car, adding a thoughtful layer of reassurance for passersby. The update does not change the core safety function, but it makes the feature much more inclusive and customizable for a wider range of pet owners.
New trim clip patent aims to cut rattles and vibrations 📷
A redesigned trim clip has been patented to help cut down on annoying cabin rattles and vibration noise. The new low-profile clip uses a soft, overmolded layer to cushion trim panels and absorb movement, while also making assembly and installation simpler at the factory.
Model 3 & Y
Model 3 named the most affordable car to run in the US
A new study finds that the Model 3 is currently the least expensive car to own and operate in the United States, factoring in costs such as maintenance, charging, and insurance. This positions the Model 3 as a compelling option for budget-conscious buyers considering both electric and traditional vehicles.
