Issue 386 - Cybercab visits In-N-Out drive-thru

FSD V14 now changes routes based on arrival option 📹
FSD V14 lets you pick how you want to arrive, curbside, parking lot, garage, you name it, and Tesla will plan the route based on that from the moment you set out. It’s pretty wild to see how precisely the car can now pull off a seamless curbside drop-off at crowded places like Vegas hotels with no need to circle around or fight for parking. It really feels like we’re finally getting to that hands-off, drop-me-at-the-door robotaxi experience we’ve all been waiting for.
Tesla will soon allow you to gift FSD subscriptions
Tesla is getting ready to let owners gift FSD (Full Self-Driving) subscriptions, just in time for the holidays. You’ll be able to buy one or several months of FSD access for someone else.
Wide rollout of Full Self-Driving v14 to Cybertruck begins
Cybertruck owners are finally getting access to the FSD v14 update, which brings new autonomous driving capabilities tailored for the pickup’s unique all-wheel steering and camera setup.

Elon Musk reveals Tesla AI chip production timelines through 2028
Elon Musk has outlined Tesla’s ambitious roadmap for their next generations of AI chips, spanning up to version AI8 well into the late 2020s. The plan includes both TSMC and Samsung producing slightly different versions of the AI5 chip, with mass production set for 2027, followed by AI6 in 2028 and even more advanced chips on the horizon. This rapid hardware evolution plays a huge role in Tesla’s autonomous driving plans, meaning the upcoming CyberCab will launch with AI4 hardware and upgrade as new chips arrive.

Tesla makes vehicle repairs more accessible with major Toolbox 3 price drop
Tesla has slashed the price for its official diagnostic Toolbox 3 software by over 75 percent, making advanced repairs much more attainable for independent shops and technicians. With this update, non-Tesla service centers now have a real shot at servicing and troubleshooting Teslas without breaking the bank, especially as more vehicles exit their warranty period. The lower subscription costs and built-in training tools seem like a big win, both for small businesses and for Tesla owners looking for faster and more flexible repair options.

Cybercab reaches major milestone after In-N-Out drive-thru visit 📷
The Cybercab made its debut at an In-N-Out drive-thru, hinting the final design stage is wrapped up, which for Tesla usually means production is not far behind. The new images show a more polished front end, updated doors and cameras, and seats moved forward for a more practical cabin, all signs that it’s close to manufacturing. With prototypes recently spotted testing on public streets and Giga Texas ramping up hiring for its production, early 2026 is looking like a reasonable bet for its road launch.
Elon discusses next-gen Tesla Roadster: unforgettable demo coming 📹
Elon Musk has confirmed that an unforgettable demo of the next-gen Tesla Roadster is coming soon, potentially before the end of 2025. Packed with insane features like a sub-1-second 0-60 mph time, a SpaceX package with cold-gas thrusters, and futuristic F1-style downforce tech, the Roadster is shaping up to be Tesla’s wildest project yet.

Tesla’s popular side business is going to get bigger, Elon Musk says
Tesla’s first Supercharger Diner in LA has been such a hit, serving 50,000 burgers in a quarter and drawing crowds around the clock, that Elon Musk confirmed new locations are coming to Austin and Palo Alto. The Diner is a genius combo of fast charging, all-night food, and movie screens, and it’s become the place to hang out whether you drive a Tesla or not.
🤓 What the acronym
As a Tesla fan, I find myself sometimes having to remember what are all those acronyms, here is a list of the ones you can find in this issue.
