Referral Program
Tesla adjusts referral program benefits in Canada and the U.S.
Tesla's referral rewards just got a shake-up, especially if you're in Canada or the U.S. The credits you get for referring someone have dropped to $250 in the States and are much less clear in Canada, with some reports of just $325 or even nothing at all. The big perk now is three months of free FSD for anyone using a referral, while loyalty discounts for current owners buying another Tesla stick around. If you are buying a new Tesla, please consider using our referral code http://ts.la/ignacio9266 to grab that FSD trial!
Software Updates
Tesla's 2025 spring update unveils energy-efficient features [2025.14]
Tesla's 2025 Spring Update is packed with highly-requested features, though most are limited to newer vehicles. Highlights include adaptive matrix headlights for improved nighttime driving, expanded Dashcam recordings with new B-pillar camera views, smarter trip planning with flexible routes and Supercharger amenity listings, and a boatload of Cybertruck-specific improvements like configurable frunk height and Comfort Mode on Autopilot. Bonus upgrades hit the Model S/X with the blind spot video feeds in the driver display and several quality-of-life additions for media and accessory power control.
New Tesla features coming: tire fill assist and routing improvements
Two handy new features are peeking out in Tesla's software: Tire Fill Assist will help you quickly top up your tires by increasing the refresh rate of pressure readings and possibly giving you audible cues when you reach the right inflation level, which is a welcome addition for stress-free pit stops. Meanwhile, the new "Lower Price" routing lets you favor cheaper Supercharger stations, making it easier to save a few bucks on the road, even if it means going a bit out of your way. Both have been spotted in the latest software but aren't live yet, so fingers crossed we can try them out soon!
Tesla to start rendering trailers and Cybertrucks in visualizations
Tesla will soon update its in-car visualizations to show Cybertrucks and properly display trailers, instead of just generic truck icons. This change should make the Autopilot and FSD visualizations more accurate and helpful, especially for those towing or for Cybertruck drivers who want their vehicle reflected on the screen. It's still unclear if other Tesla models will get custom renderings, but for now, it's great to see them addressing these user requests.
Cybertruck
Cybertruck long range now available: 362 mi range (est.), $62,490 w/tax credit
Tesla has launched the Cybertruck Long Range, offering an estimated 362 miles of range, a 6-by-4 foot bed, and a 7,500 pound towing capacity, all for $62,490 after the federal tax credit. This new trim finally delivers the extra driving range many were hoping for and is the most practical Cybertruck option if you need more road trip flexibility and serious electric hauling.
FSD
Giga Texas now using FSD unsupervised for in-factory car deliveries 📹
Tesla is now using its FSD Unsupervised software to autonomously move cars from the end of the production line to the outbound logistics lot at Giga Texas. Over 50,000 driverless miles have already been logged this way between Texas and California factories, marking a big step in real-world robotaxi-style automation on Tesla property.
Community
Tesla police fleet saves nearly half a million in upkeep and repair costs
Bargersville Police Department reports saving close to $500,000 by switching much of its fleet to Teslas, cutting both maintenance and fuel bills dramatically. The chief points out their 13 Teslas cost just $300 total to charge for a whole month, compared to over $3,100 in gas for just four traditional police vehicles. Even after years of heavy use, the Teslas have required little more than basic warranty repairs and still sold for solid resale prices around 100,000 miles, making them an exceptionally smart investment for public budgets.
Tesla asks owners for most-wanted 2026 features: top requests revealed
Tesla's VP of Vehicle Engineering, Lars Moravvy, recently asked owners which features they want most for 2026 and the community did not disappoint, logging over 12,000 suggestions. The most requested upgrades included a true CyberSUV, faster charging speeds, Teslas with 450 to 500 miles of range, and more fun updates like ambient lighting that reacts to music. Other favorites were improved Sentry Mode, massaging seats, wider Powershare support, Starlink connectivity, and Grok AI integration. Some of these are already in the pipeline, and it’s great to see Tesla paying attention to owner feedback as they shape future vehicles.
Tesla Insurance
Tesla insurance launches in-house voice AI agent for policy changes
Tesla Insurance just introduced its own Voice AI agent, built in-house, to let customers make basic policy changes without waiting for a human on the line. You can even rely on the system to remember and summarize your previous call, making support way less tedious. It’s now live for all Tesla Insurance users, making the process noticeably smoother and more efficient.
